Mallow Camera Club finished in 32nd place in the inaugural Photographic Clubs’ World Cup competition which was held in France in November 2006. 142 clubs from 34 countries around the world entred the competition. Mallow Camera Club scored 128 points which was 39 points outside the top ten.
FIAP (Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique) is an international federation which affiliates as operational members, the national associations of photography. FIAP includes more than 85 national associations in the five continents and represents the interests of nearly one million individual photographers. The Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) to which Mallow Camera Club is affiliated, represents the interests of Irish photographers on FIAP.

Wigan Photo Club, UK, scored 214 points to easily take first place in the competition. Second place went to Photo Club Kolkata of India with 183 points. Third went to ESV-St.POTTE of Austria with 182 points.
