On the 22,23 and 24 June the Beara Grills Survival Challenge will take place on the Beara Peninsula.
The event is in aid of The Cork Cancer Research Centre and The Irish Infant Sudden Death Association.
Taking part in the event is our very own long standing club member Tim Geary . Tim is among 30 ambitous fundraisers taking part in the ultimate challenge to help raise vital funds for two worthy causes . The group will brave the remote wilderness of the Beara Peninsula for 48 hours by relying n their own survival skills and instinct to survive .
The Cork Cancer Research Centre does not have any source of annual state funding and therefore is extremely reliant on on the voluntary efforts made by the public and events such as the Beara Grills Survival Challenge helps immensely.
Tim said he is looking forward to taking part in the event and would also like to thank club members for the collection on our last meeting which raised 235 euro. Best of luck Tim .
