The Camera Club is to be part of an exhibition in Mallow library in the next week or two. If you would like any of your shots to be included in this exhibition please bring them with you next Monday the 8th for consideration.

Mallow Camera Club, recently hosted an evening with award winning photographers Julien Behal and Mallow’s Sean Murphy to present their own photographs from a recent trip to India, as part of an awareness campaign by GOAL. A large attendance of over 180 people attended the Hibernian Hotel in Mallow to see a presentation of photographs for over 3 hours. It was a memorable evening made all the more worthwhile by the raising of valuable funds for GOAL, predominantly by the voluntary efforts of Julien and Sean. The evening raised €3,495 which was greatfully recieved by Alison Crowzer from GOAL on the evening. Pictured at the event were Tim Geary, Sean Murphy, Pat Sheehan, Alison Crowzer (GOAL) and Julien Behal. Mallow Camera Club toasted the success of four members who gained their Licentiateship Distinction at the recent judging of panels on Sunday last, the 28th of November. Karen Fleming, Rodney O’Callaghan, John Flynn and Denis O’Leary all received their first Irish Photographic Federation distinctions at the recent event, at the first time of asking. Pat Sheehan, Club Chairman, congratulated all four on their distinctions, calling the clean sweep of four from four a major personal achievement and a great result for the club. All four are pictured here with Mark Sedgwick, President of the Irish Photographic Federation.
