Joe’s only talk in the SACC region will be in Mallow Camera Club, on THURSDAY 29 OCTOBER 2009. Mallow Camera Club are delighted to be hosting this event.

The cost of the lecture will be €20 per person which must be booked in advance.  We anticipate a big demand for this lecture and places will be limited.  Therefore, all those interested need to book their place as soon as possible.

Finals held in the University of Limerick last weekend over 26 clubs competed  for the top award.  Mallow Camera Club were winners of the colour print panel section and 6th in the black and white section.  Overall the club came 2nd.   This is a new record for the club. Well done to all photographers whose work contributed to both panels.  This year three judges travelled from Scotland, Italy and…Croatia respectively.  Congratulations to Dundalk Camera Club who won the overall event.
Individually, Morgan O Neill took both silver and bronze medals in the colour print section. This follows Morgan’s success at the last sitting of distinction judging when Morgan was awarded an Associateship from the R.P.S.    Another winner on the day was Sean Murphy who was awarded a highly commended certificate.
Adding to the success of the club,  two members, Paddy Feen and Sean Colman also put forward individual panels for licenteship judging and were both successful so congratulations to both.

All in all a great weekend for Mallow Camera Club.

The talk will take place in the new GAA Complex at Carrigoon, Mallow on Friday 20th March at 8:00 p.m.  There will be a small cover charge, and light refreshments will be served.  This is a night that should not be missed.

During his time here, David will be capturing the landscape of Cork County through photography. Based in Minnesota, David has exhibited his stunning platinum palladium prints throughout America, his work in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas and private organisations. There was good banter between the speakers and the audience, and the quality of the images and the commitment of both photographes to their art came through on the night.  A good night was had by all.
